How to make Caesar salad………
Caesar salad is an Italian salad originated from Mexico. It is mostly served as a side dish in main course. It is creamy salad made with Romaine lettuce, egg and anchovy fillets. The toppings of the salad may vary according to your choice. This is incredibly easy and quick recipe. Salad can be made in both forms Veg salad and Nonveg salad. Here I am showing you the steps of making Caesar salad.
Ingredients for making Caesar salad recipe:-
- Black pepper (काली मिर्च) 1/8 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
- Garlic (लहसुन) 1 crushed
- White bread, crusts removed 3 slices cut into cubes
- Lettuce(सलाद पत्ता) washed, dried, torn 1 cup
- Butter 20gm
- Shaved parmesan 40gm
- Egg 1
- Extra virgin olive oil 80ml (1/3 cup)
- Red wine vinegar 2 tablespoons
- Dijon mustard 1 teaspoon
- Anchovy fillets 2 drained
Method of making Caesar salad:-
Take a frying pan heat it with oil and add bacon cook for 2 minutes with stirring or till it turns golden. Transfer it to the plate and keep aside. You can place paper towel on plate before transferring.
Again heat up the pan with butter and remaining olive oil at low flame. Add the garlic and bread with stirring occasionally; cook for 4 minutes or until golden. Transfer to the same plate.
Take a saucepan add egg and fill it with water so that egg get immersed bring it to boil over high heat and cook for 1 minute. Drain the water and keep egg under cold running water. Crack the egg into a bowl.
Take a bowl of food processor add egg, oil, vinegar, mustard and anchovy fillets and process until combined. Add salt and pepper and mix well.
Take a large serving bowl place the bacon, bread mixture, lettuce and parmesan. Drizzle over the dressing to serve.
Serve with style….!
