HOW TO MAKE PANEER TIKKA MASALA

Ingredients for Paneer Tikka Masala Recipe
Paneer 200 grams, 1 inch pieces
Green pepper (ग्रीन काली मिर्च) ⅓ cup, 1 inch pieces
Red pepper (लाल मिर्च ) ⅓ cup, cubed into 1 inch pieces
Onions (प्याज़) ½ cup, cubed into 1 inch pieces
Yogurt ⅓ cup of hung or thick curd (¾ cups of yogurt kept in muslin cloth in the strainer will give ⅓ cup of thick yogurt)
Ginger paste (अदरक) 1 ½ teaspoon
Garlic paste ( लहसुन) 1 ½ teaspoon
Red chili powder (लाल मिर्च पाउडर ) 1 teaspoon
Garam masala ½ teaspoon
Chaat masala 1 teaspoon
Dried fenugreek leaves (सूखी मेथी पत्ते) 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder ( धनिया पाउडर) ½ teaspoon
Turmeric powder (हल्दी पाउडर) ⅛ teaspoon
Salt to taste
Lemon juice 1 tablespoon
Oil for cooking the tikkas
Oil 2 tablespoons
Cumin seeds ½ teaspoon
Onions 1 cup, finely chopped
Ginger paste ½ teaspoon
Garlic paste ½ teaspoon
Tomatoes 2 medium or 1 ½ cups, pureed
Red chili powder 1 ½ teaspoons
Turmeric powder ¼ teaspoon
Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
Cumin powder ½ teaspoon
Water 1 cup
Dried fenugreek leaves 1 teaspoon
Garam masala ½ teaspoon
Heavy whipping cream 2 tablespoons
Method of making Paneer tikka masala
Step 1: First, prepare marinade. Beat hung curd in a bowl until it gets smooth. Then add ginger-garlic paste, cumin-coriander powder, red chili powder, kasuri methi, chat masala powder, lemon juice and salt and mix well.
Put the paneer cubes in the marinade and keep it for 1 hour.If you want to enhance the flavour than keep it for 4-5 hours by covering the bowl with plastic and keep in the refridgerator.
Take a pan and heat it with cooking oil , arrange tikka pieces in single layer. Cook on one side, flip and cook other side till it gets light brown. You can do it in batches. Take all the tikkas roasted and keep it aside.
For preparing gravy heat some oil in a pan than add cumin seeds.As they start to sizzle add chopped onions and cook till onions turns light brown.Then add ginger paste and garlic paste and fry them for a minute.
Then pour tomato puree and cook till all the moisture evaporates and oil starts to leave at the sides of the pan . Add turmeric , cumin , coriander and red chili powder. Mix well and cook for 2 minute.
Add water to the gravy and cook to get the desired thickness.Put garam masala, kasoori methi and paneer tikka ,mix it and cook it for 5 minutes.Finally add cream and turn off the stove.
Serve with style…!
Take a bowl and pour the prepared curry into it.Garnish it with coriender leaves and serve with butter naan or paratha or tandoori roti.
